My Summer Was A Blur…

Hello friends, it’s been a while!

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven’t posted in a while, and honestly, I have been finding it hard to get back into the swing of things. But as the first semester nears and the daunting responsibilities of adult life are reality once again. And so, I have decided to give myself the much-needed kick up the arse and get back into a somewhat routine. And what better way to kickstart the blog than a good ole catch-up post!

Much like everyone else, we decided to stay home this summer instead of going away on holiday. At first, I was really hesitant about going out, especially when lockdown first started easing. However, a lot of the places we did visit were quite good at reinforcing social distancing rules and face coverings.

Other than the odd day-out here and there, I have spent most of my summer either in the kitchen making a mess or with my head buried in a book. And whatever free time I have left is usually spent with my family and friends.

It’s been a difficult and challenging year so far, which has made me feel even more grateful for all the little things. Being confined to the same four walls can be hindering on your wellbeing but knowing that by making that sacrifice, you’re potentially saving lives is a blessing in itself. After facing all those highs and lows, I’m even more grateful to be able to see my loved ones in, to find time to do the things I love and find joy in the little things.

I want to capture all my favourite moments of this summer in this post. I want to bundle up all my happy moments so I can look back at 2020 and realise that even during the tough times, there is a spark of joy and love. More importantly, I want to share those memories with you. Hopefully, by looking at these, you will also be able to find those little pockets of happiness in your life.

Finally, I hope you’re all well, and I wanted to just say well done for trying your best and making the best out of a difficult situation.

Love Sharuni x
