Happy International Women’s Day Lovelies!
This year for international women’s day I wanted to introduce you to some of my favourite people, the women in my life who make me feel empowered loved and supported. There are so many wonderful ladies in my life that I would love to rave about, so say hello to some amazing women!
When I think about friendship, I think about the people I know I can talk to about anything, who I have late-night talks with, who help me whenever I need them and put up with all craziness. but more importantly, they’re the people whose opinions and advice I value.
When I was younger, I always hoped I would have a big group of friends who would be with me for the pinnacle moments of my life. But I’ve come to cherish the few friendships I have and am very grateful for having people who have come into my life at moments where I’ve most needed them.
There are very few people in my lives that I can call my soul mates but these two ladies have been with me through so much and I honestly don’t know where I would be without them. Qaanita and Patricia are two people who have shaped the person I am today, they have helped me become a more open-minded and grounded person and for that I am grateful.
It’s not easy to make new friends especially when you’re forced out of your comfort zone, so I am eternally grateful for meeting Tania at university because I can honestly say that my university experience would have been very different without her. Talking about making new friends in unexpected places, I first met Sorcha at a James Bay HMV album signing and somehow we’ve been inseparable ever since.
I am grateful for all these amazing ladies and I can’t thank them enough for being such empowering, inspirational role models in my life. Thank you for being the wonderful women you are!
Love Sharuni xx
