Happy Galantine’s Day Lovelies!
I’m currently on the train heading back home, trying not to get blinded by the sun and just enjoy the scenic route. Before we get into this week’s post, I just want to say a massive thank you to all of you taking time out of your day to read my posts.
What is Galantine’s day? Honestly, I’m not too sure of the exact definition but in my eyes, Galantine’s day is a day (obviously!) to cherish and appreciate your besties by showing them how much they truly mean to you. So, this week I thought I’d introduce you to some of my besties because without them I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
First of all, one of my favourite people, who I’m lucky to have been friends with since secondary school, Patricia. Some of my favourite memories from when I first met Patricia, was all the time we spent baking when we were younger and generally just making a mess in my kitchen. We have both been through so much over the last 10 or so years and I’m so grateful to have had someone like her by my side. Love you Pat!
I was pretty nervous starting university and I wasn’t sure how well I would be at making friends. Luckily, on the first day of university I met someone who without a doubt is one of my closest friends to this day and I don’t know what I would do without her. I am so thankful for having met you Sarah, and I can’t thank you enough for putting up with my craziness.
There aren’t many people I have still kept in contact with since secondary school, but one person who has stuck with me for god knows how many years is Conny. If there was ever a time, I needed advice, someone to rant to or just a good ole chat, Conny is my go-to girl and I hope she feels the same about me. Thank you so much for keeping me grounded and always making my sad days a little brighter.
Tania, I don’t know how I would’ve survived first year without you! There is no other person I would want to have late night chats with or spend hours just walking aimlessly around London with. Thank you for getting me through first year and just always being there to help me whenever I needed you. I can’t wait to make a million more amazing memories with you. Also, thank you for being the ultimate karaoke partner!
If there was one person, I would want to make-up crazy songs with or spend nights watching Netflix with it would be you, Martha. I can’t thank you enough for not only having to put up with my crazy antics during lectures but also at home. You are definitely one of the coolest people I know and I am so thankful to have someone like you in my life, who not only makes me laugh like crazy but also someone I can have deep meaningful conversations with.
Happy Galantines day to my favourite ladies, I love you all so much!
I hope you all have an amazing Galantines day with your besties and make sure you tell them how much they really mean to you.
Love Sharuni xx
