Florence and The Machine

Hey Lovelies!

Two posts in one week, how lucky are you?

Last Sunday I went to see Florence and The Machine perform live and it was absolutely beautiful!

First of all, can we take a moment to appreciate how mesmerising Florence Welch is? I don’t think I have ever been so entranced by anyone like I was when I watched Florence and The Machine perform. I never saw myself as a real Florence and the Machine fan, well not until I saw them perform live, there was something about the way they immerse the crowd and how they created such a mystical performance, it is definitely an experience I will never forget.

What I love most about Florence Welch, is how she embodies her music, out of all the artists I have seen live, Florence somehow has this beautiful way of expressing her music and emotion through the way she moves, acts and sings. There is something about her presence on stage that brings the music alive.

The world is at your fingertips
It doesn’t get better than this
What else could be better than this?

– South London Forever

It’s a beautiful thing to see someone dance and move so freely without having a care in the world and just letting the music embrace them, and somehow Florence does it with such ease, that it becomes so contagious. It feels incredible to dance like you really mean it and in the midst of a crowd of over 10,000 people and not think twice about how you look because you are truly having the time of your life. That moment of truly feeling free and letting the music embrace you is one I will always remember. So thank you Florence and The Machine for creating such a beautiful safe space during your concert!

And every demon wants his pound of flesh
But I like to keep some things to myself
I like to keep my issues strong
It’s always darkest before the dawn

– Shake It Out

One of the first songs I heard from their new album, which made me fall in love with them all over again, was Sky Full of Song. I have always loved Florence and The Machine, but it had been such a long time since I really listened to their songs, so after hearing Sky Full of Sing for the first time I couldn’t stop listening to their songs on repeat.  You know you are truly in love with a band or artist, when you can listen to any of their songs over and over again without getting bored and this is exactly how I feel when I listen to Florence and The Machine.

Hold me down, I’m so tired now
Aim your arrow at the sky
Take me down, I’m too tired now
Leave me where I lie

– Sky Full Of Song

I could talk about Florence and The Machine all day, especially after that concert and I hope you all enjoyed reading this little gem. I hope you have a lovely Sunday and I will see you next week. ALSO GO LISTEN TO FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE RIGHT NOW!!!

Oh, you and all your vibrant youth
How could anything bad ever happen to you?
You make a fool of death with your beauty, and for a moment
I forget to worry
